Universal Asset Management

Privacy Notice

This notice describes how Universal Asset Management Limited handles personal data in connection with this website. It is issued under the DIFC Data Protection Law 2020 (DIFC Law No. 5 of 2020) and applies from its publication date.

Controller

Universal Asset Management Limited, a DIFC company, is the controller of personal data processed through this website. Registered office: Unit GA-00-SZ-L1-RT-201, Level 1, Gate Avenue, South Zone, DIFC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Questions about this notice go to info@u-am.ae.

Personal data processed

Two categories of personal data arise from this website.

Correspondence. Where you write to info@u-am.ae, the firm holds your name, your email address, the content of your message and any attachments you send. It holds nothing you do not send.

Technical logs. The website is served by Cloudflare Pages. The hosting platform generates connection records in the course of serving it. These records exist to deliver the site and to keep it secure.

Purposes

Correspondence is processed to deal with the matter raised and, where the writer asks the firm to take steps, to take them.

The firm processes technical logs to operate the website and to defend it against misuse.

Records that the law requires of a DFSA authorised firm are kept in compliance with the legal obligations that apply to it.

No sale, no tracking

The firm does not sell personal data, and it does not rent or share it for marketing. It deploys no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts on this site and sets no cookies.

Recipients

Cloudflare Pages processes technical data as the firm's hosting provider. Beyond that, personal data is disclosed only where a law, a court or a regulator with jurisdiction over the firm compels disclosure. No other recipient exists.

Retention

The firm retains correspondence while the matter it concerns remains open, and afterwards for the period that record keeping obligations on a DFSA authorised firm require. Technical logs persist only as long as security review of the service requires. Nothing outlives its purpose.

Data subject rights

The DIFC Data Protection Law 2020 gives you rights over personal data the firm holds: to access it, to have it rectified, to have it erased, to have its processing restricted, to object to its processing and to receive it in a portable form.

To exercise a right, write to info@u-am.ae. State the right you rely on and the data it concerns. The firm may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Supervisory authority

The Commissioner of Data Protection of the DIFC supervises compliance with the DIFC Data Protection Law 2020. If you consider that the firm's handling of your personal data breaches the Law, you may complain to the Commissioner. You may raise the matter with the firm first at info@u-am.ae; the Law does not require you to.
